harp and soul scapes #BLOG

Next to making (motion)pictures in my studio i like to visualize my harp in an actual landscape. My harp and soul / every now and then in perfect harmony with our beautiful world \ are captured by film and photography to complement and strengthen the landscape music. In collab. my husband Pjotr i create harp and soul scapes. I need to feel save to have my picture taken - with my harp in a landscape we tell a story .. it is not longer about a portrait made ..or taking a selfie ; it is about how i fit in in the bigger picture and that feels good. Even-though we have received recognition by the classical and jazz tv stations for our landscape music videos it is important to me become a better and better director with a strong script and storyboard that i can share with my cameraman Pjotr in order to improve the productions. Pjotr and i have the ambition to participate with HSM film productions at international film festivals.

Self portraits

I have never made a real selfie but i do make self portraits with a black background, a lamp and video-camera. Then i can chose a video-still i like and i am responsible and in control of the camera. In these solo projects i make the recording, do the editing and film montage.

Video Art

To feel complete as an artist i feel the strong need to make myself visible in music-videos & installations ― how else would a hermit like me get noticed by an audience ? Sharing music through installations - real sound sculptures - is a work in progress and a perpetual experiment.
